The Health Secretary, known in full as the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, is an official within the Government of the United Kingdom and is responsible for the Department of Health and Social Care, and the NHS. The office is a cabinet-level position. The position of Health Secretary is currently held by BosslyGaming, who was appointed to the role by Prime Minister Saracen's Fez, on 15th November 2020.
The Health Secretary's main responsibility is to oversee the running of the health service in England. However, due to the passing of the 2016 NHS Council Bill, as of 1st April 2017, an NHS Executive Council will be established to decide where the NHS budget is spent. This will significantly limit the power of the Health Secretary.
