The Culture Secretary, known in full as the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, is an official within the Government of the United Kingdom and head of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The office is a cabinet-level position. The position of Culture Secretary is currently held by LiberOfLondon, who was appointed to the role by Prime Minister Baron of Sealand on 5th May 2020.
The responsibilities of the Culture Secretary include overseeing: broadcasting (including the BBC), telecommunications, charities, creative industries (such as advertising, fashion and film), cultural property and heritage, gambling, press regulation libraries, museums, galleries, tourism, and sport.
